Hi Mary,

as a quick starting point - you could try browsing the following sites:

www.scotland-inverness.co.uk (the Internet Guide to Scotland)

www.skye.co.uk (the Official website for Skye & Lochalsh)

and then check out the pages on Tripadvisor for the 2 areas you are planning on visiting - there are lots of useful past posts on both the Fort William and Isle of Skye forums, which you would probably find very useful!

Also, you can check out the reviews for all the B&Bs/hotels for both areas by going to their relevant home pages on Tripadvisor.

Hope this helps! Have a great time when you visit - I'm sure you will!

If you're a walker you might consider Torridon and one of the B&Bs at Kinlochewe as your base.

Its important to know what you like doing or seeing before giving you advice?

Looking at scenery from the car, hill walking, boat trips, wildlife watching, cable cars, museums, great food, off road driving excitment, walking on remote beaches, train trips, atmospheric monuments, discovering your clan, other things? Let us know.
