Fife Coastal Path

has anyone walked the whole Fife Coastal Path, we are hoping to do this next year and would be grateful for any advice. Walked for 6 miles from Culross the other day and was surprised that most of the walk was not coastal. Trying to obtain as much info as possible along with recommendations of accomodation along the way.

I've walked it several times. Most of it follows the coast. What is it you want to know? I think there is a Fife Coastal Path website

Really looking for info/recommendations on B&B's to stay at. We would be able to walk about 20 miles per day. Where are the difficult parts (if any). Walked West highland way 2 years ago over 7 days and found that fine. We felt some of the accommodation we stayed at then could have been better ie quieter and comfortable beds for a good nights sleep etc so would be glad for recommendations. Is the official start in Culross or Kincardine? Have looked at the website.

This website has a set of pages describing each day, and the days are broken up into segments with accommodation available at the end of each. If you want to walk 20 miles or so you could simply double up some days.

Interesting. I've always though it started at North Queensferry. However, it's a very easy walk. Nothing at all difficult. You pass through so many villages that the accommodation options are huge, unike the west highland way where you are quite limited.

I'd just identify which village you are likely to be nearest and then come back for suggestions. The stretch from Lower Largo round to St Andrews is a 'holiday' area with loads of options.

Fife Coastal path website states it starts in Kincardine but the walk highlands website states it starts in North Queensferry - not sure which to go by.

Where does the WH site say it starts in North Queensferry? According to it, the first leg ENDS at N Queensferry. And The site makes it clear that the route has been extended since its inception, so maybe, once upon a day, it did start there.

Anyway it's an easy but long walk, and it doesn't really need much of a guidebook and infrastructure to follow. If you get really wet, turn left!
