train travel Dublin to Belfast and back

I see two options for train travel by Translink or by Irish Rail

I need help to understand what the significant difference is? Touring and trying to keep the budget line.

Thanks.

Irishrail run train services in Ireland

Translink run train and bus services in Northern Ireland

the enterprise is the cross border train run jointly by NI railways and Irishrail its the same train but just run by the 2 respective companies for example if you by a ticket from Irishrail for enterprise you will pay in euros

where if you buy a ticket from translink you will pay in Pounds, its the same service etc etc

Eva if you are arriving by air into Dublin, get a coach. It makes no sense whatsoever to go from Dublin airport into Dublin to get a train. Not only are there direct coaches available, the airport is north of Dublin so en route to Belfast. If you go to Connolly, you're going south only to have to.go north again ie backtracking unnecessarily.

Fantastic.

We really appreciate your suggestion and reducing the transitions and schlepping our suitcases!

So it is decided the coach it is! When we return to play in Dublin we will take the train for a different experience and be landing in Dublin. Thank you so much again.
