tourist in belfast

We will be holidaying in Ireland for 10 days in June and will be travelling by car. We would like to visit Northern Ireland and have a look through Belfast.

Should we be aware of places not to go on our own. Can you suggest somewhere nice to stay overnight in Belfast or nearby. Don't mind a hotel or B & B.

Cheers

Hi cyclonewanda

You can find all the information you need at:

www.gotobelfast.com

If you have a look at the available accommodation and then post back your options I'm sure you'll get feed back from all the great people on TA! Belfast City Centre is really quite compact and a very friendly place ~ unfortunately its history & media coverage usually belies the fact that Northern Ireland has one of the lowest crime rates in Western Europe.

Hope this helps

Best to look at hotels that have secure car parking either onsite or closeby:

Hilton (has multi-storey car park beside it)

Holiday Inn (has multi-storey car park beside it)

Wellington Park Hotel (onsite)

Malone Lodge Hotel (onsite)

Days Inn (onsite)

Europa (has multi-storey car park behind it)

Radisson SAS (I think has carparking - need to check!)

Ramada Hotel (onsite)

Belfast is a very compact and walkable city - contact the Belfast Welcome Centre for details of sightseeing tours, etc. 028 9024 6609 - info@belfastvisitor.com
