Suggestions for 3 Night Stay

I'm not holding out much hope due to the lack of activity on this forum. However, we are spending 3 nights in Worcester at the end of March and wondered if anyone could provide any ideas on what to do or where to visit.

It's one of those 'it depends what interests you' questions. Worcester Cathedral, the River Severn, Elgar's Birthplace are all there. Lots of countryside of course in the Marches.

There are steam trains between Bewdley and Bridgnorth.

Ludlow is foodie capital of England.

Lots of black and white towns and villages.

Royal Worcester china works used to do guided tours and they have reject shops.

Have a good time

unfortunately the seconds(or rejects shops have closed at the royal worcester have closed but the museum is excellent.

Must does:

visit the cathedral and on a clear day go up the tower

Visit the commandary.

Walk down friar street

Walk in the Malvern hills

Severn Valley railway goes between Kidderminister and Bridgenorth. (in bridgenorth ,go on the incline railway)

Further afield: Hereford cathredal

Stratford upon avon

Warwick castle

Cabury's world

Both cadbury's world and hereford are on direct trains from worcester.

Want to know anything else?

Thanks to you both for those excellent ideas. One thing, I'm really interested in the railway, but looking at the website suggests there's not much happening at this time of year (i.e. a lot of events seem to start after Easter). Cheers

Thanks for all the tips. Spent one day at Ludlow (beautiful place with excellent farmers market) and one day in Shrewsbury (another lovely town) and had excellent lunch at Boathouse Inn and wonderful tapas meal in The Lounge at night. Already planning a return visit to Ludlow in Sept for the Food Festival.
