How much time is needed to really explore Bath?

We will have at least 2 days to visit Bath, but may stay a third. I have noticed that nearly every attraction closes by 4 or 4:30pm. What type of entertainment is available in the evenings in Bath that you would recommend? We would enjoy theater, music, and pubs!

The Bell on Walcot Street offers live music and real ale most nights of the week http://www.thebellinnbath.co.uk/ and around the corner on Paragon you will find the Star Inn http://www.star-inn-bath.co.uk/

There's plenty of other decent pubs in the city centre, such as the Raven, Salamander, Old Green Tree, the Trinity and the Griffin.

The Porter on George Street has live music and comedy nights http://www.theporter.co.uk/ , as does Komedia on Westgate Street http://www.komedia.co.uk/bath/ which is around the corner from the Theatre Royal http://www.theatreroyal.org.uk/

There are also night-time walking tours you can take. I did the "Bizarre Bath" walk a few years ago and it was hilarious. Not historically accurate in the least (but it's not supposed to be) but funny. I believe there is also a ghost walk tour some nights.

Ken Loach is a regular attendee of Bath City FC games and he's presenting a film night on 1st February at Twerton Park (or Mayday Trust Park as its been renamed this season!)

I believe the thermae spa is open till 10pm and I highly recommend it. Sit in the hot roof top pool and experience the baths like the Romans did, rather than just seeing them.
