Hi all, looking to come from Canada to Sheffield in Sept to see a match, wondering if there are any companies that would book this type of package( air, hotel and match ticket?) if not what hotels are closest to Hillsborough?

The Nearest Airport is Manchester. Which has its own Railway Station.

Hi Thanks for all the info, looks like Heathrow is the best bet for airports, flights to Manchester require 2 connections and a 4-5 hr layover, but that could change. How far is it from central Seffield to the stadium ??

Because the tram stops so close to the stadium, you can choose from all the city centre hotels and get the tram there and back.

While you're in Sheffield, walk/taxi a mile north from the city centre to the most powerful working steam engine remaining in Europe - go to simt.co.uk/kelham-island-museum/river-don-en… to see which days they fire it up. And next door to that is the Kelham Island Tavern, the only ever double winner of Campaign for Real Ale UK pub of the year.

So that's where Wednesday's fan lives. If you want to see a proper match while you are in Sheffield, Bramall Lane is a short walk from the city centre.

Apart from that, all the other advice is sound. If you want to start your visit well and are arriving by train, try the Sheffield Tap on platform 1.
