Lgw to reading by train

Hi. We arrive from Ireland into lgw on a Monday at 4pm and depart on a Wed at 1630. Have found return tix to Reading for £29. Question is where is lgw station in relation to arriving, and how much time should we allow to make the train. Thanks

You will be arriving into South Terminal assumming it is not Easyjet.

You will be bussed from plane to domestic arrivals, there is no passport check, sounds longer but there is no long walk.

Bus will drop you and then up the stairs and its out at Domestic Arrivals, station is 2 minutes walk from there.

As you exit through the glass doors into arrivals waiting area on left there are 2 ticket desks and if no queue buy tickets there. Sometimes quicker than main station concourse.

Then just walk past Costa Coffee, past WH Smiths on left and entrance to Station is on left of Forex Bureau.

If land on time then max 30-40 minutes assumming ticket bought quickly will be in station main area.

BTW...it's cheaper to book in advance than to buy tickets on the day in Gatwick right ?

There are no Advance fares for your journey, so no cheaper to book in advance. It looks like you've already found the best, £29.10 Off-peak Return for the direct route avoiding London.
