Oxford travel time from central London?

What is the best way to travel from premier Inn Towehill to Oxford and return? How much time it takes to do short tour of the Oxford uniiv?.Thanks in advance

Trains take about an hour from Paddington and the Tube to Paddington should take about 30-40 minutes.

I'd say a day-trip would do it justice.

Oxford University is not one university with a central campus - it is made up of 39 different colleges. If you'd like to see some of the University, your best bet is to pick one or two of them. The most popular with tourists are Christ Church and Magdalen. You can walk from one to the other via Christ Church meadow and the Botanical Gardens/Rose Lane. No visit to Oxford is complete without laying eyes on the Radcliffe Camera, which is arguably Oxford's most iconic and most photographed building. I recommend taking a look at the one day itinerary on Oxford City Guide, which also provides a map to the city.
