Warkworth - dog friendly?

We've just booked a cottage for one week, late May, in Warkworth - totally new to us, we've never been to the east coast before. We'll be bringing our Border Collie so would appreciate any insider knowledge re dog walks, dog friendly pubs etc.etc. Thanks in advance!!

Alnmouth, just to the north of Warkworth is great for dogs. There is a pub ( Red Lion?) which has a beer garden and a balcony overlooking the river.

Virtually all the Northumberland beaches are great for dogs. They usually have a band of sand dunes between the beach itself and any roads.

It's strange but historically houses weren't built alongside the beaches ( not like down south ).

Good luck

ps..this is Collie heaven up here
