Day trip to London

Yes it IS a day trip to London but only from the great city of Leicester.

Will park at Stanmore and get the tube in.

What do Londoners suggest for a quick one day trip to the metropolis!!

(Will be going half term Monday...AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!)

Cheers for the replies(IF ANY!) in advance

You could try a London football ground, but you'd only be disappointed compared to the Walkers!! apart from that all the usual London eye, Buck house, changing of guard etc.. but not the museums in exhibition in half term omigod!! Hyde park and Kensington palace would be worth thinking about. if you do do try Swan Pub on Bayswater rd for lunch/beer. As I write city are 0 0 at leeds humph

I think the bus tours look like a good idea as you can hop on and off as you like ! I have just come back from a lovely weekend weather was unusually mild spent most of saturday shopping visited covent garden ! .On sunday we had a walk to trafalgar square ( i was dissappointed to see that the pigeons had gone !!) down to the embankment over Hungerford bridge walked pass the London eye then over westminster bridge to see Big Ben then got tube back to covent garden before we had to catch train home . Another idea would be to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace which is at 11.30 nearest tube is victoria / green park hope you have a funn day out

Cheers guys (especially the branch)

You are right no ground in London can compare to THE WALKERS!

Leicester are currently 1-0 to the Scumbags of Leeds!!!

I think going to anywhere enclosed i.e museums in half term would be torture.

Might do Covent Gardens etc...

Don't suppose the xmas lights are switched on yet???
