Train from Heathrow to Earls Court

When taking the train or tube I'm not sure what it's referred to, would it be best to buy a pass at Heathrow which would serve us on system during our weeks stay in London or would it be best to buy a five zone ticket for just that ride into Earls Court and deal with purchasing a pass at another time. What is the name of the pass?

Tubes are run by Transport for London and have the 'roundel' logo. Trains are run by other companies on the mainline railway network.

Most things you will need are within Zones 1-2. Therefore if you want to do other things on your day of arrival get a Zone 1-2 Travelcard with an Extension for the single fare from Heathrow to Earls Court.

Otherwise get a single from Heathrow to Earls Court that day and get a Travelcard for the other day(s).

HOWEVER if there are two of you, and you want to use the 2-for-1 offers at www.daysoutguide.co.uk, then you must buy paper Travelcards from a National Rail station to qualify for the offers. You'll need single tickets from Heathrow to Earls Court, and from Earls Court to a mainline railway station to buy the paper Travelcards.
