Heathrow to Grange Rochester hotel

How would you best recommend getting from Heathrow at about 9 am to our hotel Grange Rochester which is closest to the St James tube station? We are a family of 3 with a baby in a stroller and a decent amount of luggage.

Will the tube be busy for rush hour? Would it just be less hassle hail a taxi? I don't want to spend more than we have to but want to start the trip off good.

All I was trying to get at the second time was if there was a better way than the tube. I started thinking we might have too much luggage and maybe a taxi would be better.

Whatever you do, don't hail a taxi from the airport - pre-book one. Will be cheaper. I think this may be a time when the cost justifies the means. Just think of your sanity, being able to relax in a car and be driven door to door and not worry about negotiating a stroller and luggage (and baby) up and down escalators and crowded tube trains.
