Banana Cars

Hi there is a topic related to to banana cars but the name is not suggestive enough, so people may miss it.

Anyone has experience with this taxi company?

This company gave me the best quote for an airport transfer, but now i am starting to be suspicious. I have found 2 opinions stating they did not show up to pick the passengers, and 2 good opinions stating everything went well.

I have found at least 5 similar websites from them:

http://www.bananacars.co.uk/default.asp

http://banana-cars.com/

http://london-airports-cars.com/contact.asp

www.england-airport-cars.com/contact.asp

www.british-airports-car.com/contact.asp

They have an online chat which is great, but is this suspicous or what?

Here's the thread OP is referring to - tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g186338-i17-k57328…

I saw the (now removed) glowing review in post #5 on that thread and it was as clear an example of shilling as I've seen anywhere. Don't be surprised if another one shows up on this thread.

I wouldn't touch them.

I have used on 2 occations

http://www.londonairconnections.com/

which I found to be good value.

Horrendus homepage though, why do so many UK sites look like they have been made by a colorblind 10 year old?

Actually it seem to have improved since I used them might be a teen now but no improvment of colorsight.

Hello again,

So I went to London the last weekend. After chatting again in the banana cars website I decided to risk to book with them, cause the difference in price was considerable. Thought to myself the worst that can happen to me is the need to catch the terravision bus, and then the train to the hotel (in fact was the first thing I thought when I started to idealize this trip), and I would not loose any money , cause I was only going to pay at the cab. By the way we were a group of 10 , so I booked 2 cars.

We landed at Stansted with a 40 min delay at 00:30, for my happiness inside the airport there was the taxi driver with a paper with my name on :). At that moment he called the other cab, and in 5 min we were driving to the hotel, in 2 cabs.

After 2 wonderful days in london, we scheduled the return from the hotel at 05:30, and once again the cabs were there on time.

So everything went perfectly well. For that reason I am here telling my story. From my experience they are totally trustable, the cheapest I could found, and with nice cars.

Best Regards,

Filipe

My husband was picked up by Great Britain Cars (Banana Cars) London this morning and they were great, the driver had waited for 1hr and rang me in Australia to check on my husband. He was caught in customs and the driver eventually found him and all was good. appreciate the driver waiting.. Noooo this isn't from the Company under an assumed name lol, this is an actual Client....thanks...
