There are lots and lots of stations (though West Brompton is not one of them) where you can buy a qualifying travelcard. Where will you be staying, as then we can suggest a station nearby.

Here you go re central London. It's not fully up to date, in that some of the Overground stations (that do sell 2 for 1 eligible travelcards) aren't listed.

Regarding the two stations you mentioned -

West Brompton is managed by London Underground, and so they do NOT sell 2 for 1 eligible travelcards. As an FYI, other stations like this include Whitechapel, Highbury & Islington, and Farringdon.

Gatwick Airport is a National Rail station, and so it can (and they should) sell the correct travelcards. But, there have been reports that the ticket clerks do not sell tickets or travelcards that don't originate at Gatwick (presumably because they want to cut down on queues for arriving air passengers).

As it sounds like you're traveling from Gatwick and want to connect to the Overground, one option could be to buy a ticket from Gatwick to Clapham Junction (where you'll change trains), and get the seven day travelcards there.

PS - If you are also leaving from Gatwick, you can get a return train ticket, keep both parts of the ticket (don't use automatic barriers), and that ticket will make you eligible for 2 for 1. You can then get the 7 day Tcard on Oyster.

Kyriaki,

Our posts crossed!

Shepherds Bush Overground station (not the adjacent Underground station) sells national rail tickets and travelcards. So you can get the correct Tcards from there.
