Are you going straight to Legoland, or checking into a hotel first?

A pre-booked car may be the best option, as the public transport options are not straightforward.

You can get the train via Clapham Junction to Windsor and Eton which is close to Legoland (taxi or shuttle bus from station). Total travelling time probably around 2 hours (varying by time of day) so depending on how you feel about children, luggage etc you might want to treat yourselves to a taxi from the airport as wirewiper suggests.

You can take the train from Gatwick Airport Rail Station direct to Clapham junction, which takes around 25 minutes. From here you can pick up the train to Windsor & Eton Riverside which takes around 45 minutes. Shuttle buses run to Legoland, approx every 15 minutes from opposite the Theatre Royal, just a 3 minute walk from the train station.

Not sure how much a prebooked cab would be, but might be worth a call.

Windsor Cars, and Gemini Cars are both based near Legoland.

Guess your flights are a 'done deal??'

If not, then can you fly to Heathrow instead? Much nearer.....

If, as Joe suggests, you rent a car, make sure you have your parking sorted in Windsor at the accommodations. Parking in Windsor is challenging.
