hotels and kids

Planning to travel with my two sons to London in May for few days, but am having difficulties finding lodging for 3 in one room. Seems like 2 double beds in one room is just not too common.

Any suggestions, 2 rooms is just too costly. My kids are 16 and 11. Thanks.

4fromCA: Do a forum search for "family rooms" (with the quotes), and you can read advice that has been posted previously. Someone mentioned they stayed at the Holiday Inn Mayfair in a room with two double beds.

What area(s) are you looking at? Three in a room shouldn't be much of a problem, it's when you try to squeeze four in you run into complications.

I've stayed in triple rooms at the Waverly House, the City Hotel, various TraveLodges & others. And that was 2 adults & a child.

Travel Inns usually have a double, single sofa bed and pull out single, so you should all get your own bed. County Hall Travel Inn is ideal for a few days. Near everything but only around £90 plus breakfast.
