1. Re: weather?

bring layers - its not as "cool " here as you have at home !!

could rain - wind- mist - perhaps even frost

but snow unlikely

Layering is always best - some jumpers and a good all-round raincoat. Weather is quite unpredictable nowadays - but to be honest, even if it's freezing you can always pick up a nice thick jumper and pair of gloves with a scarf in a supermarket for less that £10!

definitely cold.....pack for rain, wind, and maybe sleet.....we aren't lucky enough to get snow.....but you never know, this time we might....weather has become very unpredictable. coat, scarves, gloves, hats and a good old umbrella will do. neverthe less it's enjoyable here!

thank you for your comments. the whole coat issue was most of the problem.. am hearing that i need one that is water repellent so that helps the decision. thanks...

Michael Flanders said it so well:

January brings the snow

Makes your feet and fingers glow

February's ice and sleet

Freeze the toes right off your feet

Welcome March with wintry wind

Would thou wer't not so unkind

April brings the sweet spring showers

On and on for hours and hours

Farmers fear unkindly May

Frost by night and hail by day

June just rains and never stops

Thirty days and spoils the crops

In July the sun is hot

Is it shining? No, it's not

August cold, and dank, and wet

Brings more rain than any yet

Bleak September's mist and mud

Is enough to chill the blood

Then October adds a gale

Wind and slush and rain and hail

Dark November brings the fog

Should not do it to a dog

Freezing wet December, then:

Bloody January again!
