The Great British Beer Festival is on at the Olympia right now, and I thought you might be interested in the bottled real ale winners:
Gold - Durham Evensong...a phenomenal ruby coloured beer with lingering malt flavours. Made by Durham Brewery, a small micro-brewery in NorthEast England.
Silver - Young's Special London Ale...weighs in at a beefy 6.4%, and would go well with cheese after dinner. Very drinkable, strong bitter with lingering fruit flavours.
Bronze - Titanic Stout...the champion bottled beer of 2004. In the style of Guinness very dark, with brewed roasted malted barley which gives it a distinct colour and aroma. Very dry palette.
