Gatwick Express or Blackberry car?

Hi all, we are a family of 4 (2 kids 11 & 13), flying in from Oslo to Gatwick around 3pm in the afternoon.

Our stay in at Waterloo, and just wonder which method would be faster?

1) Gatwick Express to Victoria, then cab to Waterloo?

2) Pick up by Blackberry car and straight to Waterloo?

I havent got the quote from Blackberry yet, and would imagine both probably cost the same, given there's 4 of us.

Many thanks

Neither, there are two other routes and cheaper fare depending on the arrival date.

A, the Southern train service to Clapham Junction arriving at platform 12. Use the overhead walkway, lifts available, to change to platform 10 for a South Western train to Waterloo.

B, the Thameslink train services to London Bridge, probably arriving on platform 5, change to platform 8/9, again lifts available, for the SouthEastern train to Waterloo East station which is connected by a walkway to Waterloo station.

Both journeys will take 40-60 minutes, much quicker than the road journey.

Unless there's a major crisis on the trains, it will always be quicker. I'd go for the first option. Trains to Clapham Junction are every 15 minutes or so and take about 25 minutes. Trains from Chap ham Junction to Waterloo are about every 5 minutes and take about 10 minutes

Train every time! The drive from Gatwick would be 90 minutes if the stars align, but any significant traffic could double this. You do not want to start your holiday sitting in traffic for two or three hours, which is entirely possible if you go by road.
