Christmas day in London?

Hi guys, I will be in London at the Grosvenor from the 22 to the 29 of Dec. Would like to ask what will I be able to do on Christmas day itself, as most shops are closed I presume? Will the tube be open and are there eateries open as well?

Cheers

No public transport which may limit your choice of places to eat.

Ahhh so there's no tube? Will the Grosvenor which is near Victoria tube line be convenient for any munchies?

Will it just be Christmas Day where the transports be closed? Or will it spill to the day before and after?

Cheers

Most restaurants will be closed. Check out one of the many other strings on this subject (as in post #1).

I understand that Golden Tours are running their HoHo tour that day.

You can walk and see the sights (well, their exteriors), or use "Boris Bikes" or taxi.

Google for "London Restaurants Christmas Day" might find you something - but you also might need to book it -quick!!

You are quite central so plenty to walk out and see. Pubs may be open about 12 to 3. Late afternoon it will be quiet - most watching tv or sleeping off the days excesses.

Ahh thanks, will the streets be totally empty after the noons? So for dinner it will be better to settle it by ourselves?
