The cheapest fare currently is £29 single, which is a promotional fare. Nobody can say for sure whether they will have a promotion when you travel, or whether it will be this price.

As a rule they get more expensive the later you leave it.

160 days is around mid-April by my calculations, so I doubt there will be promotional fares.

If you want cheaper, try looking at different dates and times - Eurostar fares are demand-managed so there are fewer cheap seats for the more popular days and times.

I take it the fare you quote is directly from the Eurostar website, and not an Aussie re-seller?

The previous week the cheapest fare is £44. I would wait at least another week to book.

Tuesday 1 May is a public holiday in France. It is likely that a lot of French people will take a "pont" on the Monday to make a long weekend away and that may well be the reason for high fares already for London to Paris that day.

At least public transport in Paris still operates on 1 May, most of the rest of France will be restricted to Sunday train services and no buses or trams.

welcome,

your best bet is to buy as soon as you can. Buy once, cry once.

then move onto the other parts of your trip.

good luck.

Eurostar tickets are released approx 6 months out - not 120 days like you have said. Agree with #7 and #8 - buy now!
