Where to stay in Blackpool

We are a family of mum & dad, 2 daughters and husbands and 3 grandchildren aged 12, 9 and 18 months.

We are going to Blackpool for 2 nights at the end of October - we want to see the Illimunations, go to the Pleasure Beach, the Tower and general attractions, maybe the water park too.

We would like to stay somewhere with easy access to the Pleasure Beach and the Tower. We would like somewhere we can park our cars, somewhere nice (we are used to good hotels but our children can't afford alot so we are wanting to stay somewhere they can afford but that we will like).

It is so confusing trying to find somewhere I have looked online for 3 evenings now and still dont know where to stay.

I am thinking perhaps somewhere between South and Central Pier, perhaps on the seafront.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Somewhere with parking in that area is difficult. October half term is also one of the busiest weeks for Blackpool.

For parking it might be best to stay on the south side of the Pleasure Beach which is not between the two piers as you wanted. The road is New South Promenade. You have free on street parking in this area and it is a better area.

If you like nice hotels then http://www.bigbluehotel.com/ but it comes at a price. There could be a problem with noise from other guests in this hotel especially in this busy time

Best to find a guesthouse or hotel with parking! Several in Alexandra Road, Withnell Road for example have parking. The Corona, South of pleasure Beach is nice and parking can be reserved at £5 a day.

Pleasure Beach is a full day out. Consider getting wristbands for everyone! (There are 20 rides where you can accompany your infant on!) Book online for best price. Waterpark 3hours plus. Tower, (Book Circus tickets at least first thing to save disappointment!) for all the attractions, is again a full day! Tip! Pleasure Beach and Water Park - get there for opening time!!

This small hotel near the Pleasure Beach has parking and seems to get good reviews.

Try the Doric hotel north promenade. Tram and bus stops outside the hotel. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but easy to get to all the attractions you mention. Family tram and bus tickets are very cheap. Hotel is ideal for family's. Check the reviews on tripadvisor, believe me, the best ones do not lie. Spotlessly clean, great staff, food, entertainment, lovely public areas and bars. Indoor and outdoor poolsetc. Try it you won't be disappointed.
