Short break on a working farm for children in North of UK

Hi. Looking for a hands on animal opportunity for my two teenagers. Working farm in the North of England no more that 2 hours drive from Chester, not a tent as its Feb half term! Any suggestions warmly accepted!

Let google be your friend

Just google farmhouse accomodation in whatever county you fancy and see what comes up

It all depends on the farmer of course on how involved your children can get with the animals

In Cumbria and North Wales it is likely to be sheep and you will be there in lambing season, very busy time for farmers but very interesting if the farmer will let your children see what is going on

What about pony trekking, a great way to get around the countryside and get children used to animals

Good luck
