Dover Cruise Terminal to Ashford International

We get off a cruise ship in Dover and are booked on the Eurostar to Paris which leaves Ashford International at 9:25 on a Saturday. The cruise ship docks at 6:00. Since we'll have to take a taxi to either the train station or the bus station, I'm wondering if it would be faster and more reliable to take a taxi all the way to Ashford International Station. If so, would it be advisable to prebook the taxi when we're in Dover to board the cruise ship? Or does it make more sense to take a taxi to the train station and then the train or bus to Ashford International? Thanks

You'd need a taxi to reach the train station so you may as well take it to Ashford. Takes about 30 minutes - which is faster overall than the train plus taxi. Just remember you pass through French immigration at Ashford so you need to be there at least 30 minutes before departure time

I was wondering why the connection time at Ashford was a minimum of 30 minutes -- now I know it's for French Immigration.

Looks like a taxi is the best way. Thanks.

And for baggage scanning - Eurostar scans your baggage like an airport, but at least they don't prohibit taking liquids on the train!

Trains run from Dover to Ashford twice each hour on Saturday mornings, the ride takes about 30 minutes, cost £10.10 each.
