train from Heathrow to Cotswolds

I have been trying to figure out how to get to the Cotswolds ( anywhere) from Heathrow. It seems the Paddington Station is where the trains depart? I assume we take a taxi from Heathrow to the train station. Is there a good website the describes the process. I tried to figure out the schedule but just could not. Any information would be helpful for this American. I have had no trouble in London but this process seems complicated.

By fair the easiest way to do this would be to hire a car at Heathrow and drive to the Cotswolds - you'll be there in not much over an hour. It's really not a scary drive, I would recommend getting one with sat nav of course. You could then stop at Oxford on the way, and I would suggest Burford as a first port of call in the Cotswolds.

<<Second day get the bus to Chipping Camden>>

There is no bus from Oxford to Chipping Campden. You get the train from Oxford to Moreton in Marsh and pick up the bus there - right outside the station

If you time it right you can visit one or more of Broadway, Stow and Bourton as well

We just walked the 'Cotswold Way' from Chipping Campden to Bath, and we did take a bus from London (Victoria Station) to Oxford - where we stayed 2 days - and then that train Oxford/Moreton-in-Marsh plus bus #22 Moreton/Chipping (less than 3£) Very easy but check the schedule.
