Gluten/Dairy Free in Brighton?

Gluten/Dairy Free in Brighton?

Our family of five adults is travelling to Brighton for a two week stay at the beginning of April and we have rented a holiday cottage just outside Lewes.

Three members of our family have allergy/food intolerance issues - namely Gluten and Dairy. Could anyone recommend some restaurants, cafes and shops in either Lewes or Brighton which offer "free from" foods or meals on their menus?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are quite a few options that do gluten free The Chilli Pickle, Riddle And Finns, Agua Dulce, Terre A Terre, Food For Friends, Moonstone, Iydea, Planet India and I'm sure there's more.

You really shouldn't have any issues in Lewes either. There's a lot of Brighton overspill into this always interesting town these days. As such, all sorts of food needs are routinely catered for. Try here : tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186275-…

A great "simple food done well" shout is Foodilic in North St (just down from the clock tower next to Burger King of all horrid places!) which has an all you can eat buffet menu for appx £6.50 which has a great range of GF treats. They also have another branch along Western Road which is a bit more upmarket & more of a restaurant than a cafe. http://www.foodilic.com/index.html

You'll find GF options at Infinity Organic cafe too, centrally located in Gardner St.
