Renting a floating house in the Marina Development?

I have been trying to find a hotel to stay in Brighton on a Saturday night in August and everywhere is either fully booked, only lets you book for 2 nights or has massively inflated prices. I have come across some floating homes to rent in the Marina Development for lower prices. Does anyone have any experience of staying in these?

Thanks in advance.

My colleague once lived in one, basic, functional.

Whats the worry? if you're only staying for a night?

We stayed in a floating house a couple of years ago. It had eveything you need for a short stay including a very nice outdoor seating area with a view over the marina. There are lots of bars and restaurants on the marina development so its easy to walk back at night. We also could park for free in the marina cer park as the letting company gave us a sign to put on our car window. This was a big advantage as parking is very expensive in Brighton and most of the hotels don t have their own car park.

Have you checked the premier inn right in the middle of Brighton? That's very good, and often quite cheap.
