Good heavens - where to start?

Brixham, a charming and still active fishing town.

Dartmouth, take the steam train from Paignton then the ferry across. Or do a rail-river 'round robin'.

Agatha Christie's former home at Greenway, now owned and run by the National Trust.

Shaldon, Teignmouth, Dawlish.

Exeter's historic city centre and Cathedral.

Totnes.

All of the above +

Cockington is a quaint village 5 mins outside of Torquay and well worth a visit.

There is a nice pub in Cockington as well.

Agree with all the above, but it slightly depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking for family days out or adults only, beaches, walks, drives, culture, history, national parks? There is so much to do here that, after living here for 12 years I am still discovering new attractions to visit and hidden gems.

Give us more of an idea of what you like to do and we can tailor our replies much more.

Dartmoor is a good place to visit if you have a car. In Princetown there is a Dartmoor prison museum which is good to pass an hour or so.

Walks. Have you tried walking up from the harbour onto Daddyhole plain and down into Meadfoot into Babbacombe and back down into the town?

The Devon Round Robin is rated the number one attraction in the area by trip advisor, and makes a great day out.

Check timetables as times depend on the tides so change daily.
