With a 3 year old in Torquay: help please

Hi,

Just booked a 1 night stay in Torquay last minute. Will be driving in on Saturday and leaving Sunday evening. Will be staying on Museum Rd.

Dont know too much about Torquay (other than fawlty towers).

Here is what I was thinking

Day 1:

- Babbacombe

- Beach (any suggestions)

- Torquay Harbour

- Any other suggestions

Day 2:

- I hear the zoo is worth a visit

- Any other suggestions

Thanks in advance

Day one could also include a visit to Living Coast, your toddler will love the penguins!!

I think that you can get something of a joint ticket with the Zoo...

There's the model village in Babbacombe..

Zoo definately worth a visit

whilst in Babbacombe you could take the cliff railway down to the beach

Paignton Zoo will take a full day and take a buggy as it's quite spread out. Nice little soft play area in a cafe in the middle of the zoo. Mini train and sometimes face painters (additional charge).

Check out English Riviera website lists beaches

But we used to like Oddicombe (botton of cliff lift in Babbacombe) Goodrington Sands or Meadfoot

But loads of choice round the bay

The beach at Oddicombe is shingle.... there is sand at Torre Abbey, but it's not great...

Enjoy your visit

i was also going to echo what other forum posters have already mentioned,Living coasts would be a great adventure for a 3 year old as the actual penguins come out and interact with you.I am sure your 3 year old will enjoy the experience also paignton zoo is also worth a visit as well.
