Look in the "licensing laws" section.

However pubs or the local licensing committee may impose their own (higher) restrictions.

I was surprised how hard it is to find the answer bluesky. 14yr olds are alowed in, there may be some restrictions as to whether it will be the bar area (ie near it). Custom dictates that they sit away from the bar.

Individual pubs may have their own rules like not after 9pm at weekends but it is unlikely. Sitting outside in the garden is common in the summer.

No alchoholic drinks for 14yrs and drinks must be purchased by someone over 18.

It would be worth checking locally if some places are more suitable than others. Town pubs can get rowdy late on the weekends. Country pubs are quiter and more inclusive.

We've been in several pubs around the harbour area with our teenage son. We always ask first though,as they reckon they need a licence and depends on the different pubs as to what time we were allowed in until.

Quite a few around the back streets only allowed kids until 5pm, 8pm,9pm etc whereas some others welcomed us in all night.

Some pubs said "no way" at anytime.

I know years ago kids were allowed in at 14yrs if only drinking pop, but since this 'kids allowed in pubs' came in we have found it difficult to get our son into places!

Wetherspoons by the habour said strictly only if all of party buying a meal.
