Hi, all' we are driving down from leeds to berkshire in june. Would love to see a bit of the peak district en route. Any suggestions on somewhere to stay with short walk to stunning veiws nearby.

There is a variety, check reports and choose what may suit you - ]

Hathersage then short drive to Stanage Edge.

Edale.

Losehill House Hotel or the B&B next door.

Yorkshire Bridge pub self catering.

Maynard Arms.

If you stay in Castletown you can walk along mam tor ridge and look over to kinder scout you may also see the hang gliders over mam tor.

When you leave Castleton to head to Berkshire, you might also want to call in at Monsal Head which has a stunning view across Monsal Dale.

Pete is right, that is probably the best view from a hotel doorstep, and there are walks around there too. Monsal Head is very popular in the summer with traffic to match.
