The Oyster Box in St. Brelade's Bay is pricy but serves good food and you need to book. The Crab Shack, part of the same restaurant is less formal and less expensive but again, you need to book. There is a Pizza Express also in St. Brelade's Bay and you often find discount tokens on line. The St Brelade's Bay Hotel serves good food and is more formal, again bookings recommended. There is a Chinese Restaurant (Jambos) in St. Brelade's Bay and also several beach cafes along the front.

You also have the option of driving/bus (if the times fit) or taxi into St Aubin where you have the excellent 'Salty Dog', bookings essential plus you have pubs for pub food and a choice of other restaurants.

For good down to earth pub food during your stay try the Royal Hotel in St Martin. You can sit outside and enjoy a selection of filling, well cooked pub food and you don't need to book.

I would also put the Bass and Lobster on your radar but you will need to drive as it is in Gorey and buses wouldn't work for you. Also in Gorey is Feast, expensive but well worth the effort of getting there, again bookings essential.

I am sure other people will come up with loads of recommendations and in truth, you are spoilt for choice but it is always worth an advance phone call to get a table reservation.

Bob has made some great ideas.

I would add that you are less than 5 mins from the bus stop which will take you via the lovely harbour of St Aubins where there are plenty of restaurants & bars serving great food or you can continue into St Helier where there are many more places to eat & drink I think the bus fare is £1.70 into St Helier it will be less to St Aubin.

Our favourite in St Helier is the Funchal Paradise which is about 10 mins walk from the bus station it is a very small family run restaurant serving traditional Maderian food which is fantastic you would have to book but beleive me you will not be disappointed.

If you don't mind a lage "family friendly" pub, then the Landmark Inn is only a short stroll. Cracking pizzas.

Suppose a lot depends on what time you are getting in.

If early evening, then I expect you'll definitely want to stay within St Brelade Bay.

As Bob says - Cran Shack and Oyster Bar are pretty good. Crab Shack is the cheaper option of the two - realatively similar food, it's just that Oyster Box is the up market version. Obviously both specialise in fish food. The fruits de mer at Crab Shack is a nice option on a sunny evening - especially if you can book one of the tables outside.

Also have the Sugar Reef, which is often over looked, but went here a few times last year and the beef burgers and Thai mussels were excellent. Upstairs from the Sugar Reef you have Jambos - a pretty decent Chinese. Then next door is Pizza Express.

Also have the Wayside Cafe - which is really between a cafe and restaurant standard.

Sugar Reef, Crab Shack and Wayside are probably all similarly priced.

If you want a walk across the beach, head to St Brelade bay, turn left and walk to the far end of the bay and you'll find the Old Smugglers Inn. Real Ale and a decent meal. If it's high tide, there's a footpath that goes across the rocky outcrop that separates the two bays - a small torch might be useful for this route on the way back.
