Cambridge to Peterborough A14

Hi everyone, I have heard a lot of bad news when it comes to driving into Cambridge via the A14 in the morning as everyone is trying to get into work but does anyone know what it's like going the other way, travelling from Cambridge to Peterborough in the morning?

Thanks

Generally traffic from Cambridge to Peterborough in the morning is fine. Lots of lorries (and probably caravans as well, now that it's the school holidays) but the traffic keeps flowing.

If no accidents on the A14, it takes around 45 minutes to reach the outskirts of Peterborough if you leave Cambridge around 7.45a.m. If you are travelling from the centre of Cambridge / travelling into the centre of Peterborough, you'll have to allow more time for the traffic jam out of / into town.

Note: There are a lot of average speed cameras along the A14 and there are sometimes the traffic police are parked up along the A1(M) as well.
