Will be visiting Cambridge for two weeks at end of May. Knitting and needlepoint are special interests of mine. Any suggestions?
What kind of suggestions do you want?? please and thank you
Cambridge does have several groups that meet up each week to do these activities but as far as I am aware does not have any museums or exhibitions of this type of work.
You could get the train to London and then the underground to the Victoria and Albert Museum which specialises in art and design.
The Sheep Shop is a mile from the town centre. As well as being a yarn shop, it runs classes and knitting groups. Its website has a list of many other local groups and events.
There is a huge Hobby and Craft shop on Coldhams near Asda for all your requirments
There's a specialist needlecraft/quilting knitting shop in Cambridge on King Street - called Sew creative - they have a website also! :) Not massive but have some nice bits!!
