Train from Gatwick (North) to Earls Court Station/ oyster ca

Can someone advise me the easiest way to get from Gatwick North Terminal to Earls Court station . We are arriving on a weekday at around 9:30 am . I read there may be another train to get to that area besides the gatwick express. Just looking at the easiest route because we are travelling with kids. Thanks and if we need to change over to the tube , please advise what line / where to do this. Do we purchase our oyster card at this point ? We are in London 3 days , mostly travelling in zone 1&2. There is 4 of us . How much should we approximately put on each of our oyster cards ?

Oystercards can be bought from Gatwick rail station.

The journey planner gives the route as: Southern train from Gatwick to Clapham Junction, then London Overground (orange on the map). To West Brompton, change to District line (green on map) to Earls Court.

Accompanied children under 11 travel free on tfl and don't need tickets or Oystercards, 11 -15 years can get young visitor discount applied to their card. Check child fares on Southern though.

You can follow this route above on the map below, which is also shows the Oyster boundary.

Probably load adult Oysters with £40 to cover your off-peak Gatwick journeys and 3 days in London, you get cash refunds up to £10 when your finished with them.
