Where to stay - 2-3 nights with kids 12

I am planning to go to Cape Cod in August. Do I have to make reservation or not? Where's the best place to go. We are 2 adults and 2 kids 12 years old. We prefer hotels. Is Hyannis interesting? Or somewhere else. Looking for clean place. We had a bad experience last summer.

What do you suggest to visit?

Thank you for the infos.

Nathalie

Bonjour Nathalie. You definitely need a reservation and there are minimum night stays for most hotels/motels during the busy summer season.

What is your budget? What do you all like to do? (shop, swim, boat, fish, bike, etc.).

Was your bad experience on the Cape?

Hi fussyquest,

Thank you for the answer.

We would like to pay around 125 - 150 per night. It would be interesting to stay close to a nice beach and restaurants. Is it possible. Should we rent on Bay side or sea side? What are the differences?

We like to go to the beach and do some visits? I don't think we will bring the bikes because we will go to Boston for a few days before Cape Cod.

Does it worth the money to see the whales in August?

I've heard that there was a train visit? a jeep safari? What would you suggest for activities?

Sorry for my english I speak french!

The bad experience was in Wasaga Beach in Ontario. Awfull! I wrote a review on trip advisor. The cottage was calles Black's by the beach. I wrote it in french.

Thank you for you answer.

Bonjour, Nathalie.

Bonne chance!

Ha! Fussy, you and I are on the same page -- I sent Nathalie a PM suggesting Chatham, Harwich Port, or Falmouth.
