First timers, need help, night life, restraurants, etc

Hi,

We are a couple in our 40's and will be traveling without kids the end of July. We have reservations at Captain Farris house in Bass River Village for 3 nites. We were looking to stay for 5, but they were booked, and we don't know if we will have enough to do. Need some suggestions about where to go in the evening, are there any lively boardwalks? Also are there other areas/places you can recommend staying in Cape Cod that have offer alot of shopping/restaurants/night life within walking distance to lodging for the 2 nites we still have open.

Thanks for your help!

Hi there, Why don't you try Elizabeth's new B&B in East Falmouth from your last thread of messages on this forum? Falmouth is the second largest on the Cape and she states that there is nightlife. You are on the east side of Hyannis for the first few days so that would put you on the west side for the rest. Check out Wood's Hole too AND you can get to Martha's Vineyard in 35 min. from Falmouth on the ferry if you'd like. There were also some other ideas on that thread but, if you can find Elizabeth in East Falmouth she might have a room available since she is new. Call the Chamber to track her down-508-548-8500 or 800-526-8532. Otherwise there are a lot of new suggestions since you were here last that you can look through. If you'd like some Capewide input quickly go take a look at that Kim Grant book that I mentioned to you previously. Additionally, if you can pick out a town or two I think you'll give posters the opportunity to give you more specifics. Good luck. P.S. The boardwalks on the Cape are just over the sand or over the marshes. They are nothing like the boardwalk in Atlantic City if that's what you are thinking about. For that sort of atmosphere you stroll down Commercial St. in Provincetown at night.

P.S. Elizabeth stated that her new B& B is located on Old Meeting House Rd in East Falmouth. That should be enough info to get the rest of the info that you'll need. And, who knows, if she's not too busy maybe she still looks at this forum and will post the name and number.
