What would you like to know?. It is run by Annie Porter who is a Farm Stay member and she is registered with the tourist board and inspected. The opposite side of the dale to where Prince Charles stays at the Peels house -so pretty unspoilt countryside with meadows full of wild flowers in the summertime. Annie and her husband John have farmed around here for many years They win lots of awards with their sheep and are true country people well respected and honest. I have had many a meal around her table and always been well fed but have not stayed here as I live quite near. I have seen her bedrooms and they look fine to me with all you would need and priced accordingly . Her daughter also does bed and breakfast nearby. I don't know Annie does evening meals any more you would have to ask on that score.

Thanks for that. I have emailed to ask for a brochure and the tariff. Our last stay in the Dales was in Dentdale, another very unspoilt and not too commercialised area.

I didn't know that Prince Charles stays anywhere in that area!

We have just had the delight of staying with Annie at Oxnop Hall. Three generations run this wonderful working farm so breakfast is prepared / served by Annie, her daughter-in-law and grand-daughter who are all very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is simply delicious and certainly set us up for the day's hiking. We had a 'double' room [two singles together so it was an enormous bed] in which we found all we could wish for. Our two night stay was very comfortable indeed - being in the Grade II Listed part of the farmhouse, the floor of our bedroom went pleasantly up hill and down dale so had to duck under the beams at one end but not the other. Centrally heated, we were cosy and warm. The en-suite was a room in itself; shower was over bath; plenty of hot water at all times. Two comfy chairs to sit in whilst watching TV or planning next walk or simply reading whilst enjoying a cuppa. Scenic walks are accessible straight from the farmhouse door - Annie's directions paving the way. Situated just over a mile from Muker, it is easy to access the delicacies provided by the Muker Tea Rooms or the Muker Pub where excellent meals are provided at very reasonable rates. Good Real Ale Beers and Ciders available too. Gunnrside is about 2 miles away; again with pub serving meals. Both Muker and Gunnerside can be reached by footpaths rather than by car if desired. All in all, a most enjoyable stay! We're looking forward to returning. Thanks Annie!

Annie at Oxnop Hall is a lovely lady, but she can't reply to emails, as she doesn't have a computer. Best to call her instead. :-)
