Port Hardy is completely booked--accommodation suggestions?

Apparently we waited too long to book a room in Port Hardy the night before our 6 AM ferry trip. Everything is booked. Does anyone have any suggestions for Plan B?

The Haida Way Motor Inn in Port McNeill is a good place to start. They are fairly big.

Thank you so much--we were able to book a room there. Whew! Had visions of sleeping in the car...

My Port McNeill suggestion would have been the Black Bear! Very nice accommodation, pretty new.

Try Ecoscape Cabins. They are new and right near the ferry terminal.

I noticed this thread and will ask a really daaa question. Can you take the Ferry from Port McNeil to Prince Rupert without having to go to Port Hardy. Otherwise how do you get from Port McNeill to Port Hardy if you are not travelling by car? As Port McNeill sounds quite appealling. Thanks.

An expensive cab is the only option to transfer from Port McNeil to Port Hardy.

Occasionally resorts will pick people up/drop them off but don't count on it.
