Long weekend skiing on a budget

Four of us would like to plan a long skiing weekend taking advantage of Family Day in Feb. We'll be traveling from Toronto. Does anyone have any tips on how we can get cheaper accommodation (e.g. tried to look for chalet shares which they have in Europe but can't find any), deals on ski school, ski hires and lift passes. Thanks in advance for your help!

You can buy discount Tremblant ski passes at Costco in St Jerome, you might be able to buy them online.

Other discount tickets can be had on liftopia.com , check the tremblant.ca website for lift deals for multiple days too.

There is only one ski school at Tremblant, so you pay what they charge. If you buy the Costco lift tickets $64 plus taxes, you get a days skiing, 50% of rentals at the resort and $10 towards lunch at their restos. Otherwise the rentals are at the resort and I rarely see discounts for them.

We do not have family day here, I checked and see it is the 20th Feb, Just be advised that is also the USA famed Washington week and the mountain will be busy, and consequently the accomodations more expensive.

Check www.vrbo.com for vacation rentals. At the hill the cheapest condo type accomodation is in La Chouette, check the tremblant site for quotes. Away from the resort there is the Comfort Inn in the St Joivte sector, a ten minute drive away. Good location though, with tubing and restos right there.

There are also three older but well maintained motels along highway 117: Normandie, Sur La Colline and, actually on top of the hill in the Saint-Jovite part of the agglomerated city of Mont-Tremblant, Motel Saint Jovite
