Late October is sort of between seasons there - unless they get early snow. Hiking is one activity. If you drive just north of there to Port Severn on Georgian Bay, you'll find some of the best fall Muskie fishing on the planet. The weather at that time of year - windy, cold and blustery. Bring warm clothes.

Hi Oncearound,

Yikes, not very inviting, is it? We'll have to make do then. Would you know of hiking trails? Our interests are walking and photography. What would the average temperatures be like, just to give us an idea on clothes we should bring?

What should we NOT miss in this area?

Tks for your assistance. Cheers!!

Average temps for that time of year 13 C to 4 C

If the sun's out, it will feel warmer.

Also, Blue Mountain's site has suggested activities:

Hi Oncearound,

Compared to our tropical temperatures, Blue Mountain's temperatures of 13 - 4 degrees Centrigade is very cold for us. Ok, we'll bring our woolies.

Tks also for the websites. I'll look them up.

Cheers!!

ahhh it's a great time to visit Blue Mountain IMO. The Fall colours will be out in full force. Hopefully they've not dropped already.

Go up to the top of the mountain in the gondola ride and see the beautiful canadian colours along the Canadian Sheild to Georgian Bay...awesome view for miles:)

You could also do the Scenic Caves or suspension bridge up there.
