Go Trains only go as far north as Barrie. Greyhound does that route, but it's a 4-7 hour trip.

Ontario Northland's "Northlander" train operates Toronto Union Station to Huntsville daily except Saturday using equipment that once was operated on GO but has since been extensively rebuilt for inter city service. However, the train leaves Toronto Union in the morning at 840 AM. Ontario Northland also operates motorcoaches, which travel the Toronto-Huntsville route four times daily.

Ontario Northland offers both train and bus service. As Cottage_Life mentioned, the train leaves Toronto Union Station in the morning only. No afternoon departures.

The Northland bus offers a selection of departure time (including afternoons and evenings) but it does not depart from Union Station. If taking the bus, you would have to make your way from Union Station to the Bay Street depot (perhaps a taxi would be simplest for this bit).

For details, see the Ontario Northland website:

Or call their toll free number: 1.800.461.8558
