Babymoon Activities Help!

Hi there! My husband and I are taking a winter babymoon in South Tahoe over New Years week. I can't ski, snowmobile, skate or hot tub this year... But does anyone have any pregnancy safe activities we could do together? Or any cool places we should go? This will be our first trip to Tahoe. Thank you!!

Hello and welcome to the travel forums! Do you enjoy nice dinners out at night? You could go to Harvey's 19 Kitchen and have dinner. This is a very nice place with beautiful, panoramic views of the lake. Make an advance reservation, you can book on opentable.

Cafe Fiore is another very good place for a nice dinner. It is a small, Italian restaurant with excellent food and cozy ambiance. Congratulations on your new baby! :)

A few more ideas are: Ride the Heavenly Gondola for some great views of Lake Tahoe (weather good) Take a lake tour on the MS Dixie II, Tahoe Queen or the Bleu Wave. Check out the Heavenly Village with many interesting shops. Take in a movie (at Heavenly Village). Take a drive to Incline Village and check out the multi million $ homes along Lakeshore Bvd. While your at Incline Village stop in at the Hyatt and have a nice lunch at the Lone Eagle and check out the very nice Hyyatt. Catch a live show at the south shore Casinos.

That is all I can come up with for now.

I don't think the sleigh ride has opened yet at the south shore, but they are running at Sand Harbor at Incline Village. However, conditions can change for the timing of your trip.

I have to second the 25 minute drive to Incline Village for a stop at the Hyatt's Lone Eagle Grill at lunch. You will have a great view of the lake and mountains. If you go out at dinner, the view will be dark this time of year. They have a fire pit out on the deck and it's fun to sit out there with a hot drink.

If the road is open, take a drive to Emerald Bay. Ice sculpting and live music in Heavenly Village and other events for Heavenly Holidays. Magic show at the new "The Loft" above the movie theater. Check out Getaway Reno-Tahoe for more options.
