Viewing Fireworks from upper truckee marsh

Hi all,

We (5 adults + 2 kids) are staying at a cabin around the upper truckee marsh for the 4th of july. The kids are young so we want to avoid going to overcrowded areas. We don't really care about the lake reflection and just want to be able to watch the fireworks. Do any of the walking trails around the creek or the marsh have unobstructed views to watch the display (and be safe at 10.30pm)? We are about 30 mins away by foot to the nearest beach. Would it be worth to try going there about an hour before the show?
