Need help finishing itinery

We are coming from Yosemite via Tioga Pass and expect to arrive at Lee Vining sometime Friday afternoon, Oct 4. We would like to go on to Lake Tahoe and spend Saturday and Sunday there, Oct 5 and 6, leaving Monday, Oct 7, for 11 am flight out of Reno. I am the trip planner and need help with this leg of our trip.

We are 2, 60 year old healthy gals, (travel buddies) and this will be our first time to LT. Our budget is in the moderate range. We don't care too much about the casinos, (well, I do, lol), but certainly not a priority. We like easy to moderate biking, love photography (thinking fall foliage), and easy to moderate hiking. We really would just like a nice place to stay and recommendations to explore the area and have a great time.

We were able to spend a couple of days in the June Lake/Mammoth lake areas at the beginning of our trip, so we would like to spend our last 2 days at LT. Thanks for any help you would give regarding lodging and activities..

"We really would just like a nice place to stay"

People can help you better if you tell them your budget. Rooms vary in price from $30 to $300.

If you really do want to be close to the casinos, then you might consider staying at Montbleu or Harvey's. They have nice rooms at usually reasonable prices unless there is a big event that weekend (which I doubt).

Casinos are 'not' a priority. Something rustic and scenic in the $150 - $225 range.
