Malaria prevention

We are traveling to Cape Town and Victoria Falls later this month. Is it necessary to be taking Malaria prevention drugs. We are having a hard time finding medication.

You don't need prophylaxis for Cape Town but many health organizations, including the US CDC, recommend it for Victoria Falls. Doxycycline and Malarone are good options, but you should speak with your doctor or travel health specialist to get the right one for you. Not sure what you mean about having difficulty finding medication, but your pharmacy should be able to get you either of those easily.
