One is not sure what you mean by "quaters and pod", please explain, then you may get some advice.

POD at Camps Bay is a beautiful hotel that is close to some restaurants and the beach. Camps bay is very safe. If you are renting a car, you will be fine, but Camps Bay is a little away from the V&A Waterfront and you will need to take a cab/taxi or shuttle there.

In June, the weather might be bad, it might be a good idea to stay near the V&A and indoor activities.

No we wont rent a car will be using taxis. So maybe camps bay is not such a good idea. How about more quarters apartement? How far from v and a? They have a shuttle as well?

The V&A Waterfront is not the centre of everything in Cape Town. The City Centre and many other areas are also important for the tourist. More Quarters is in an excellent area part of the rather up-market areas of Oranjezicht and Tamboerskloof. It is just a few steps from the busy restaurant/bar area of Kloof Street and, also important, is very close to two different bus stops on the brand new MyCiti bus routes. This is Cape Town's extremely modern Rapid Transit Bus system. Buses from right by here to all over the city, the Waterfront, Camps Bay, Hout Bay and at a fraction of the price of taking taxis everywhere. In Cape Town you cannot hail a taxi on the street. You have to telephone one of the many companies or get your hotel to do this for you.

In June, which is the middle of winter, this would be a much better choice than being near to the sea, as at The Pod close to the Ocean at Camps Bay. You may get severe gales and rain sweeping in off the Ocean. Definitely not the right time of year for a Beach Holiday! Although you can get some quieter sunny days it will still not be warm beach weather.

BTW All the areas you mention are "Safe". As are virtually all the areas in Cape Town that tourists visit.

I've been to both hotels and the waterfront and would definitely echo the thoughts above. More Quarters is in a great area where you get a real feel of the city, and there's no real point in being out in the beach if the weather's rotten. I have been in Camp's Bay on a crisp sunny June day and loved it, but I did get lucky.

Have a fantastic trip!
