We have shopped at Pick 'n Pay in Meadowridge loads of times and they everything you might want at reasonable prices.

The closest supermarket will be in Somerset Road, in De Waterkant. It's about 10-15mins walk away.

I used to live in Soho on Strand. The closest supermarket is the excellent Spar in the Cape Quarter complex on Somerset Rd (Your best access from is Waterkant st). It's 2 blocks from Soho On Strand.

There are a number of restaurants in the Cape Quarter precinct and there would be at least 2 dozen places to eat within an easy 5-10min walk eg Beluga, Headquarters, Savoy Cabbage, El Burro.

The Cape Quarter is a real asset to travelers staying in the apartments and houses in De Waterkant and nearby neighborhoods... http://www.capequarter.co.za/ That Spar supermarket not only has all the regular foods and things you might need.. but also a wide range of ready-to-eat offerings. Some you cook, some you just heat up. And the Tops wine shop will have a wide range of wines and spirits at very competitive prices. Plus, there are several restaurants there as well.

Yep, you can park there. There's limited on-street parking as well as a parking garage underneath.

The Spar is excellent and will give you much more than the basics (and lots of imported treats as well), but if you really need to load up and want an even bigger variety of stuff, maybe go to a really big supermarket for your 1st shop. Maybe Pick n Pay at the V&A Waterfront. That's probably the closest and most accessible. It's easy to get to from Soho on Strand. Parking is from R10 for up to 4hrs I think.
