Beach selection and availabilty of ride back

Our cruise will be in St Maarten for one day (8am to 6pm) at the end of October.

We are looking for a nice quiet beach on the French side but with some amenities (food…).

We are considering Pinel Island, Orient Bay or Le Galion. My main concern is the availability of taxi for the ride back to the pier.

If you make prior arrangement do they really show up to pick you up?

Any recommendation?

It's easy to find a taxi on Orient but Orient is generally a crowded beach. Galion is next to Orient - there is a dirt path leading from one to the other - you could walk over and back later to find a taxi near Prdro's Beach Bar or arrange for a taxi to pick you up. Pinel adds a ferry ride in the mix - more time needed for the return trip.

Friar's Bay Beach is nice and quiet with two beach bars -

Rouge also a good choice - Mullet (Dutch side) another good choice.
